A true legend The Ela M260 pencil tube microphone is arguably one of the industry’s finest microphones for acoustic and classical recording.
The compact microphone has exceptional detail, clarity and depth that captures every nuance of music and performance.
Developed in the late 1950s for the legendary Ela M251/250 series, the Ela M260 quickly became known as one of the best microphones for classic recordings. The Ela M series was created in collaboration with AKG to replace Neumann-produced models in Telefunken’s range. The Ela M260 Cardioid comes complete with M960 power supply, M801 tube mic cable, shock mount and wooden storage box.
The Ela M260 is equipped with a NOS EF-732/5840W tube and a custom out-put transformer, which together with the other construction makes this microphone so well-sounding.
(The Ela M260 Master Set comes with three capsules, TK60 – kidney, TK61 – ball and finally the TK-62 super kidney, which provides great flexibility for sessions).
