Dangerous Music BAX500
The Dangerous Music BAX500 is a high-fidelity 500-series Baxandall-style equalizer that brings the legendary tone-shaping qualities of the full-size BAX EQ into a single-slot modular format. Designed for tracking, mixing, and mastering, the BAX500 delivers broad, musical shelving curves and precision filters in a compact and refined package.
Unlike surgical EQs that focus narrowly on specific problem areas, the BAX500 uses broad high and low shelving curves to enhance depth, clarity, and dimension across several octaves at once — helping mixes feel finished rather than merely corrected. It also includes smooth, natural High Cut and Low Cut filters to remove infrasonic rumble and ultrasonic content, which can sap headroom and cloud translation.
Built with mastering-grade components, a DC-coupled signal path, and a relay-controlled hard-wired bypass, the BAX500 delivers transparent, phase-coherent sound that preserves the core characteristics of your source while adding musical dimension and polish. Run a single module on vocal or instrument tracks, or pair two modules for stereo bus or mastering applications.
