The Chandler REDD.47 pre-amp is an exact reproduction of the sought-after tube pre-amps used in Abbey Road Studios’ legendary and beloved EMI REDD.51 mixer used from about 1959-1968. The REDD.47 is very close to the original in construction, but with new components and updated features that on the one hand ensure that the musical sound for which it is so famous is retained, but also add the necessary flexibility needed in a modern studio context.
Here you can find everything from the legendary clean sound of Abbey Road Studios to distorted, in fact so distorted that it can recreate the sound of The Beatles’ ‘Revolution’ without using any additional gear.
