With a wider frequency response and higher SPL, the M80 delivers condenser-like performance in a robust dynamic design both live and in the studio. Due to its special diaphragm, the M80 captures the emotional nuances of a live vocal with an intimacy traditionally reserved for studio condenser microphones. A tight cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response with a slight boost in the high frequencies of a microphone make the M80 ideal for creating vivid live vocals.
The M80 uses Telefunken’s own output transformer, and together with the special capsule, it gives the microphone its fantastic sound.
