The API Select SV14 is a versatile and musical 4-band parametric equaliser designed for the 500 Series format. Based on the highly regarded APSI 562 EQ from the 1970s and 1980s — which was originally distributed by API — the SV14 has been faithfully re-engineered to bring vintage EQ character into the modern studio at an accessible price point.
Each of the SV14’s four bands features continuously variable control over both frequency and gain, allowing precise shaping of your signal with up to ±12 dB of boost or cut. All bands are configured in a peak/dip parametric layout, providing maximum flexibility for tone sculpting, corrective equalization, or musical enhancement across a wide range of sources.
The SV14 also includes an EQ in/out switch for quick A/B comparisons, a custom transformer-balanced output for rich analogue tone, and a robust +24 dB clip level for handling high-output signals with ease.
