Suplim mastering compressor/limiter.
The Chandler TG12413 Zener Limiter is based on EMI's classic and legendary EMI TG12345 mixer series installed in EMI studios back in the 1960s, and especially known from the iconic Abbey Road studio.
The EMI TG12345 mixer used to record The Beatles and Pink Floyd and a host of other legendary bands is known and loved for its musicality and universal usability. That's why it's still used for the critical mastering jobs at Abbey Road.
The new reproduction of EMI's Zener compressor/limiter continues EMI's tradition of building their own solutions, a trend that started in 1951 - 1956 with the RS56/RS114. The RS56 EQ was nicknamed “the Curve bender” by EMI's designers and it continued in the following years with the TG12345 in 1968, and the TG12412 in 1974. The Chandler Zener Limiter brings the legendary musical TG12345 compression and limiting into the 21st century with the features expected today from a high-end professional compressor.
Please note, all Chandler devices require Chandler PSU-1, PSU-1 can be connected to 2 devices and must be purchased.
