Description

Originally released in 1970, the Minimoog Model D was the world’s first portable synthesizer and became the archetype for all electronic keyboards that followed. It combined the massive sound of Moog modular systems with a pre-wired, performance-ready design.

The instrument was embraced by artists such as Herbie Hancock, Kraftwerk, Rick Wakeman, Sun Ra, Giorgio Moroder, Bernie Worrell, and Gary Numan — shaping entire genres of music.

This three-oscillator, monophonic analog synthesizer is housed in a handcrafted Appalachian cherry cabinet with a hand-finished aluminum chassis. Its legendary ladder filter, oscillators, and mixer retain the exact component layout of the original.

While the sound engine remains untouched, modern enhancements include a dedicated analog LFO, Fatar keybed with velocity and aftertouch via CV, MIDI integration, mixer feedback for overdrive, and a spring-loaded pitch wheel for improved playability.
