As the world’s first phantom-powered ribbon mic, the R-122 MKII delivers high output, consistent impedance, and extended functionality—making it a versatile tool for both studio and live sound applications.
Designed for use with any professional microphone preamp, the R-122 MKII requires standard 48V phantom power and offers significantly higher output than passive ribbons. This means cleaner recordings with less preamp gain and no noise issues, even on quieter sources. The MKII version adds two new features: a switchable -15 dB pad for high-SPL sources like guitar cabinets and brass, and a bass cut filter to tame proximity effect and clean up low-end buildup.
