Telefunken TF47

A modern classic
The Telefunken TF47 is a fantastic high-end tube microphone designed as a combination of the legendary M49 and U47/48 microphones. The result is a microphone that gives superior detail and fullness to the sound combined with the well-known “deliciousness” that only Telefunken has. Telefunken is well known for recreating the legendary microphones found in the company’s Diamond series, and the design philosophy has been carried over to the more affordable TF series of microphones, and uses some of the same parts as found in the large models. TF47 has, among other things, same BV8 transformer as U47/48 and NOS 5840W tube. The TF47’s character has made it known and loved in both large and small studios worldwide, and is perfect for modern production where the same one with a good preamp suits both vocal and instrument recordings.
