A modern classic Telefunken TF51 is a stunning high-end tube microphone designed as a combination of the legendary C12 and Ela M251E microphones.
The result is a microphone that delivers a soft, smooth midrange and air in the top end.
Telefunken is well known for recreating the legendary microphones found in the company’s Diamond series and the design philosophy is carried through to the more affordable TF series of microphones to which the TF51 belongs.
The AR-51 uses the same German-built Haufe T14/1 output transformer as the C12 and Ela M251, combined with a NOS ECC81 tube and a TK51D capsule.
The TF51 comes complete with suspension, M901 power supply, tube-microphone cable and transport bag for the microphone.
