A modern classic The Telefunken TF47 is a stunning high-end tube microphone designed as a combination of the legendary M49 and U47/48 microphones.
The result is a microphone that delivers superior detail and fullness of sound combined with the renowned “deliciousness” that only Telefunken has.
Telefunken is well known for recreating the legendary microphones found in the company’s Diamond series, and the design philosophy has carried over to the more affordable TF series of microphones, using some of the same parts found in the larger models.
The TF47 has, among other things.
the same BV8 transformer as the U47/48 and NOS 5840W tubes.
The TF47 character has made it known and loved in both large and small studios around the world, and is perfectly suited to modern production where, with a good preamp, it suits both vocals and instrument recordings.
