The Warm Audio WA-2FT Stereo Pair brings the iconic ribbon mic tone into a new era with precision-matched performance, vintage character, and modern reliability. Based on a classic 1950s design, these Fen-tone™ ribbon microphones are hand-matched for stereo recording applications and ideal for drum overheads, string sections, piano, horns, and room miking where rich, natural stereo imaging is essential.

With a custom 1.8-micron aluminum ribbon and a robust figure-8 polar pattern, the WA-2FT excels at capturing the nuances of acoustic instruments, ambient space, and the natural transients of complex sources. The combination of rare-earth Neodymium magnets and premium CineMag USA transformers delivers a warm, detailed sound with a touch of vintage coloration — perfect for high-end productions.

The compact pencil-style housing with side vents provides easy placement in stereo arrays such as Blumlein or mid/side configurations. The WA-2FT pair also includes Warm Audio’s in-line JFET preamps (Warm Lifters) for added gain and tonal flexibility when needed.
