At the heart of the VSPE lies a fully analog passive EQ circuit, enriched by hand-selected military-grade vacuum tubes from the USSR and custom-designed Bettermaker audio transformers. These components were meticulously chosen to deliver incredibly low distortion, ultra-low microphonics, and a rich, musical low end with a silky high-frequency response — the signature sound we call HEAT.

Analog Warmth Meets Digital Precision

The VSPE gives users complete tactile control via front-panel knobs, and full DAW integration via the included plugin. Adjust parameters in real time, automate EQ moves, or recall entire sessions at the push of a button. The plugin also features high-quality digital HPF/LPF filters, a real-time spectrum analyzer, session snapshot manager, dual-mono control, and a graphical EQ curve with drag-and-drop handles.

With stereo and dual mono operation modes, a solo function for frequency bands, and quantized knob control (step mode), the VSPE adapts seamlessly to mixing, mastering, and production tasks. When disconnected from the plugin, the hardware functions in stereo-linked mode, with the HEAT section always active.

Vacuum Tubes and Transformers

The VSPE uses double triode tubes originally engineered for ballistic missile and jet fighter electronics — delivering unmatched reliability, low noise, and consistent performance. These tubes include precious metal alloys, special gas fills, and military-grade acceptance testing.
